Updating your site should be as quick and easy as sending email. A fullly integrated content management system isn't always the answer: A static site can be transformed with the addition of a single updatable page.
A simple method for instantly updating a site should be high on everyone's list of minimum requirements.
I focus on small to medium scale sites.
I build sites from the ground up with standard, open source components.
I add content management to existing sites without changing their appearance. My standard rate is $85 per-hour.
I also brainstorm with my clients about simple ways they can keep their site fresh with a minimal amount of effort and repurpose things they may already have. I do most of that for free.
